b passenger car with wheelchair area and disabled persons toilet.
c couchette: compartment coach with folding bench seats which can be used as sleeping bunks.
d car with bicycle-carrying equipment or general purpose area.

one of:
a) car with driving compartment for push-pull operation (with 36-way control
cable and/or time multiplexer push-pull control).
b) car with driving compartment for push-pull operation (with 34-way control
cable and/or time multiplexer push-pull control). Used with letter u.
g double-deck car exceeding normal loading gauge. Code not now in general use.

a) passenger car with electric appliances that can be supplied with energy both
from axle generators and from the train power cable. If hauled by electric or
diesel locomotives with electrical power supply, the train power cable is to be
set to tension. The kind of power supply for the heating or air conditioning
system - single voltage, multi-voltage or steam - determines the employment of
the cars on electrified and non-electrified routes.
